Scholars involved in engineering, economics, finance and science are regular contributors to this journal.\u00a0 Below you will find more detailed information about the journal, including its aims and scope and the editorial policy.<\/p>\n<p>The Engineering Economist is a refereed journal, founded in 1955. It is published quarterly by Taylor &amp; Francis and is a joint publication of the Engineering Economy Division of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) and the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE).\u00a0 The editor-in-chief is Prof. <a href=\"https:\/\/industrial-engineering.uark.edu\/directory\/index\/uid\/hln\/name\/Heather+Lyn+Nachtmann\/\">Heather Nachtmann<\/a>, from University of Arkansas, USA.<br \/>\nThe journal lies at the intersection of finance, economics, engineering and science.\u00a0 This includes both capital investment and related technology decisions involving economic reasoning.\u00a0 The areas covered by the journal include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>capital investment analysis<\/li>\n<li>decision theory<\/li>\n<li>research &amp; development decisions<\/li>\n<li>risk management<\/li>\n<li>cost estimation and accounting<\/li>\n<li>cost of capital<\/li>\n<li>design economics<\/li>\n<li>engineering economy education<\/li>\n<li>public policy analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The journal publishes high quality, original articles, as well as case studies, surveys, and book and software reviews.\u00a0 It is a Thomson\/ISI citation journal in the Social Science and Science Citation Indexes and its latest impact factor is 2.207. Most papers are reviewed within three months.<br \/>\nThe journal also publishes special issues on specific topics.<br \/>\nEvery paper published in TEE is eligible for the Eugene L.
